Default suggestion: math segment how to FIND cloaked ships

with the Scimitar around the corner, i wouldn't mind a math segment that explains how to decloak a cloaked ship.

The Nebula Class Scan thingy + the Tailpipe Torpedo are obvious choices, but cost money, are very specialized for that one task and therefore are penalizing to carry around all the time for *generic gameplay*
(and they have long cooldowns which makes them rather *meh*).

How does high AUX actually help to find cloaked ships? (does it at all?)
    at what distance?
i've never seen anything with maxed aux, if they are already within 2k distance before i can see them, then it doesn't really matter, does it...

Zerobang, you don't need full math segment about how to find cloaked ship.
    You can do that by:
-Playing enginner in cruisers or Sci in Science ship(class you don't like too much).
    -High Auxullary
    -Sensor Scan
-3 to 6 points in Starship Sensors
    -Nebula console
    -Seeking Torpedo
Oh and if you use Sensor Scan(Science captain abillity)you can noticed them on 5k away(i know i managed to notice RCO and his B'rel one time in pvp)

Decloak/prevent from cloaking a Cloaked ship:
    -Charged Burst particle with doff
    -Viral Matrix with doff
    -Tractor beam
    -Gravity Well with Doff
    -Photonic Shockwave with Doff
    -Tyken's rift with doff

Overall you need Science ship to fully effectively finds, decloakes cloaking ships.

But math segment on Scimitar would be useful.

i just don't think that it is a topic many people think about

-3 to 6 points in Starship Sensors
see... thats something i never even thought about using...
and i have no idea how useful it is in the end. waste of points or actually useful? is it enough on its own to expand the range i can decloak a ship?... no idea

    -Nebula console
    -Seeking Torpedo
both need console slots / have long cooldowns / limited usefulness beyond decloaking ships -> waste of a console slot unless you are expecting to fight cloaked ships.
i need something that is more of a passive bonus.

"-Playing enginner in cruisers or Sci in Science ship(class you don't like too much)."
i do like Science Captains ground+space abilities... a lot. but i just don't like Science SHIPS + high end sci BOff abilities... feels like flying Tier 3 Ships with some sparkle effects that dont give me any feedback if they help do what i think they do. So yepp do not like.

Anyway, i want to know how to do it in an Escort or Cruiser too.

i would agree with shanis zero, it wouldnt be necessary since it is an easy thing that everyone can know already and stoked radio isnt a podcast about pvp but about the news, community, segments and so forth. and shanis nikki and i are thinking about doing a scimitar segment but that is up to mav

On cruiser always max to Auxullary.
On escorts you can forget about it unless you want to go full auxullary and sacrifice DPS and weapon power(something that is primary to escorts, torpedo boat setup is only that can work).
Remember, that will always be a job for either Sci in Sci ships(only) or Cruisers(only) because they will spec it into it easier, since they don't require PEW PEW Online.
Plus what General said,STOked radio is major about news, community, etc.
What you are asking is strictly for pvp,in pve it isn't that much recommended(ony can be useful against Donatra).
There is however a PVP podcast called Make it STO.
    You can post questions there.

Also how i see it,you want to steal other classes/ships in game job.
Sorry but every class has its role to fulfill.

Question: Doesn't a DOT (Plasma, Radiation, ect) prevent cloaking? I've not tried this, but it only seems like common sense to me.

My B'rel never had any stealth consoles or stealth skill.

Also I used to run full power to weapons and shields
